Pre-season games can be a real
bargain for true football connoseurs. While the games are sold out, season ticket holders often sell pre-season
tickets to offset the price of expense of season tickets,
holding prices down. With lower prices than regular season contests,
fans can focus on individual position battles and look for up and
coming rookies and special teamers. Even for these fans, the
3rd pre-season game is often the best choice. Teams are starting to
take on their regular season appearance, and the 3rd pre-season game is
often the one where 1st teamers log their longest playing time of the
pre-season.
While Philadelphia has some of the loudest, roughest and most loyal
fans in the NFL, the proximity to Pittsburgh and large groups of
Steelers fans in the nearby Baltimore/Wahington corridor mean that
there should be a black and gold tint to the crowd that bleeds Eagle
green.
Lincoln
Financial Field opened in 2003, replacing Veterans Stadium as the home
of the Philadelphia Eagles. With
a capacity of 68,532 fans, "The Linc" get fans close to the action and
its 172 luxury suitea and 10,828 club seats and 2 club lounges offer
the latest luxury ammenities that the NFL's wealthiest fans have come
to expect. Approximately 2/3 of all seats are along the
sidelines, the field is just 60 feet from the front row and fans are
treated to instant replays on the Linc's High Definition Video replay
boards.
In the main seating area, the Bud Zone Bar makes a great gathering
place for fans.
The Head House and Headjouse Plaza. Located just inside the North
Gates, the Headhouse Plaza is a 100,000 square foot festival, with
giant video screens, the Miller Lite Tailgate Zone and the
Sovreign Bank Interactive Zone full of interactice games. The
Headhouse includes a timeline of great moments in Phiadelphia Eagles
history, a must visit for fans of NFL tradition.
Lincoln Financial Field is perhaps most famous for its on-site jail,
located on the service leve, to help manage Philadelphia's notoriously
passionate fans. Don't let your trip to the game end up there!
While the amount of surface parking close to many
NFL stadiums is dwindling, Lincoln Financial Field is part of the
Philadelphia Sports Complex, which includes Lincoln Financial Field,
Citizen's Bank Ballpark, and The Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum
Arenas. This means that the Linc is surrounded by 22,000 parking spaces
that open 4-6 hours before game time. With few restaurants
immediately surrounding the stadium, the Philadelphia pre-game tailgate
is very much a traditional parking lot tailgate.
Only the lots closest to Lincoln Financial Field are prepaid, leaving
plenty of opportunity for fans to arrive and set up their pre and post
game celebrations.
The Philadelphia Area Steelers Fans

located on the corner of 3rd and Spring Garden, making this Irish Bar a

game, join their mailing list by visiting their website and hook up
with fellow Steeler's fans for a black and gold tailgate.
